The school

The educational project

Agnes School’s project is based on three pillars: the Christian faith, language immersion and an education that focuses on all ‘dimensions’ of our students. For children to give their best, they need to be able to develop all four dimensions, i.e. their intelligence, heart, body and soul, harmoniously.

Our mission is to help our pupils achieve personal excellence with a view to becoming independent, responsible, happy and generous adults who are able to commit themselves to making the world a better place.

Our school offers a demanding academic programme that is rich in content and boasts a wealth of attractive materials to accompany learning. Our aim is allow our pupils to grow harmoniously, not only by focusing on intelligence, but with the drive and commitment to also nurture the heart, body and soul.

Reception class “M0” (or nursery)

“M0” classes, approved by Kind&Gezin, are like little cocoons within the school. At the crossroads between nursery and pre-primary school, our youngest pupils are taught and nurtured by their teachers in two separate rooms, with tailored equipment.

The teachers act as references for the children, as they accompany them throughout the day, during learning, break times, meals and naps. In this class, children are stimulated and thought at their own pace, while being appropriately nurtured.

It is possible to join M0 during the school year.

Pre-primary

The pre-primary school welcomes children aged between two and five into a bilingual environment. The learning is geared towards children’s harmonious development. Pupils are encouraged to develop their independence with their teachers’ support and guidance. They explore the sensory world, language, graphics, maths, discovering the world, music and visual arts, according to various themes offered throughout the year. They are taught in two languages (French and Dutch or French and English).

Primary

The primary school welcomes children aged between six and twelve. Children learn through traditional, tried-and-tested methods in a happy and customised setting. They are taught in two languages (French and Dutch or French and English). Teachers are committed to encouraging each child to excel and develop autonomy in learning.

Secondary

The secondary school classes currently welcome pupils aged between 12 and 14, and will soon accept pupils aged up to 17 (all the six secondary years will be open by 2027, as one year group is being added each year until then).

Through a demanding curriculum, each pupil is encouraged to strive for human and academic excellence, and to develop a clear mind, a firm will, a good heart and a joyful soul in a healthy body.
