Agnes School’s philosophy

There is
more in you

Agnes School is a private school that was founded in 2002 by families, for families.

Our mission, as summed up in our motto “Plus est en vous” (there is more in you), is to help our pupils achieve personal excellence with a view to becoming free, responsible, happy and generous adults who are able to commit themselves to making the world a better place.

Agnes School’s project is based on three pillars:

the Christian faith, language immersion and an education that focuses on all ‘dimensions’ of our students.

For children to give their best, they need to be able to develop all four dimensions, i.e. their intelligence, heart, body and soul, harmoniously.

We work closely with parents as we believe that they are the primary educators of their children.

Holistic education

It is the utmost attention we pay to each of our students, in everything that makes them unique: their intelligence, their body, their heart and their soul.

Message from the headmistresses

Our aim is allow our pupils to grow harmoniously, not only by focusing on intelligence, but with the drive and commitment to also nurture the heart, body and soul.

Christian faith

The spiritual dimension underpins the schools work and purposemotivates its families, staff and educational project. The Catholic faith is naturally present at Agnes School, not only in its chapels but also in the hearts of the people, and therefore throughout the premises. We are convinced that the path towards the True, the Good, and the Beautiful takes on its full meaning when encountering the One who is its ultimate source. While ensuring the greatest respect for freedom of thought and faith, our pupils are encouraged to deepen their relationship with God and to develop their spiritual life.

Language immersion

Immersion learning promotes a high level of knowledge and motivation for the language that is being tought (Dutch or English), a cultural richness, and a better ability to listen and understand.

Focus on each individual

Our school allows for close collaboration with families, frequent meetings and provides top-quality training sessions on educational topics to help parents accomplish their missions as well. We cultivate a happy environment and a family feel.

Our pupils are given individual support from the start of pre-primary school (maternelle), and they also receive coaching from their first year of primary school. Under the benevolent eye of the coach, pupils learn about themselves, discover how to identify their strengths and weaknesses and how to define points for development as well as the means to achieve them.
